Tag Rugby at Maldon RFC

PE

After a 2 year break it was absolutely fantastic to return to Maldon RFC for a whole day of Tag Rugby, playing against schools in the Maldon area.

A combined Yr 3/4 team climbed aboard the minibus for the sort trip over to Maldon. Once we had warmed up and meet our supporting coach we then launched into some energetic games. Competing against Maldon Court, Danbury Park, St Francis and Purleigh we played some brilliant Rugby. Especially since some of our players have only been playing since February half term! We ended up playing 4 games, winning 2 and losing 2. However, we showed excellent sportsmanship and certainly gained some valuable match experience.

We hopped back on the minibus, in order to return our 3/4 team back to school and collect the Yr 5/6 team.

The glorious sunshine kept glowing, as our senior Rugby players warmed up and got themselves ready for action. Matches against Maldon Court, St Francis, Moulsham, Great Totham and Purleigh were all brilliantly contested. Our results included 2 wins and 3 losses, but our players had a great afternoon and were outstanding ambassadors for our school.

Well done to all of our Tag Rugby players, looking forward to September I hope we can attract more players to come along to training.
