SATs

We are delighted to share our Year 2 and Year 6 SATs results with you. Whether or not we believe testing at a young age is right, it is nevertheless important that our teachers prepare your children for the next stage of their education; in this case Key Stages 2 and 3. For those children going on to secondary, the ability to pass the SATs significantly raises their life chances. I have attached a letter from the head teacher at Ormiston Rivers congratulating the school.

We have been moderated (a qualified person external to the school has checked to make sure our teacher assessment is accurate). Once again, our Key Stage 2 results are significantly above national and Essex schools.

We have worked very hard this year to make sure all children of all abilities achieve their potential – this can be seen in the rising number of children achieving expected standard and the greater depth standard.

The results are the best the school has ever had and I am extremely proud of the children and what they have achieved and grateful to their teachers for their dedication and hard work. I know I have high expectations and push the children and staff to achieve their absolute best.

We have lots to celebrate and would like to thank all of you who have supported the school, embraced change when it has been needed to secure the very best for your children.
