Sports Day July 2018

PE

Sports Day 2018 maintained the same “carousel” structure from 2017, much to the delight of all of our children and parents. On a slightly overcast but warm day KS2 headed out first for the morning session, to the sounds of our new resident DJ Mr Mears! Children in Yr 3, 4, 5 and 6 completed a range of activities linked to their PE curriculum, then moved onto sprints, tennis ball throw, standing broad jump and the ever popular tug-of-war!

KS1 came out for the afternoon session and also competed in a range of activities, the addition of a space hopper race certainly proved to be very popular! The children rounded off the afternoon with sprints and tug-of-war, before the day came to a climax with the epic relay.

Nile were eventual winners on the day, but all of our children demonstrated sporting skills and sportsmanlike attitudes. Even the teachers and parents got involved with a final tug-of-war to finish off the day. We now look forward to next Summer and certainly some new and exciting additions.
