Mental Health Week in Year 5

The theme of this year’s mental health week is ‘Nature’ and we have been making the most of the decent May weather and getting outside to improve our mental health. We’ve been looking at different ways to use nature to improve our moods. This has included cloud watching as a meditation, outdoor art (creating giant chalk mandalas) and writing thankfulness meditations to a place we love. We are developing a set of new strategies to help stay calm and positive and know these will be useful across our lives.
