The girls and boys who attended Netball training week in and week out, during this academic year, should certainly be commended for the dedication and commitment. Unfortunately it has been impossible to secure fixtures with local schools, but our children did not let that deter them. In May 2018 we entered the Ormiston Rivers Academy tournament and our two teams displayed a masterclass of Netball skills. Both teams dominated and one of our teams ended up as overall winners of the event, which meant we qualified for the area finals!
In June 2018 we set off for the Billericay School to compete in the area final. The standard of Netball was significantly higher, yet we still gave a good account of ourselves: P6 W2 D2 L2. The team were excellent ambassadors for our school and certainly enjoyed the opportunity to play more matches.
A huge thank you to Mrs Foster who works so hard each week, coaching and developing our young Netballers. Next year we aim to play more friendly fixtures and once again return to competitions as strong contenders!
