Mixed Football has been particularly hard this season, but that has no stopped our children from trying their best. We managed to play a friendly against St Marys very early on, in order to gain some match experience. As we moved into October we travelled to William De Ferrers for a local tournament, at which the standard of Football was exceptional.
We then looked to the Essex FA Schools Competitions, which consisted of the Parish Under 11s Cup and Jim Smith Under 11s Memeorial Cup. In the Parish Cup we were knocked out in the second round by Great Dunmow after a very well battled game. In the Jim Smith competition we arranged to play several fixtures on a single evening at William De Ferrers. Unfortunately we did not progress out of the group stage this season, but we will endeavour to improve on these results next season.
Well done to all the children that have shown commitment and dedication to training this season.
