The 2017/2018 Football season has been the busiest season in recent years. Frustrated by the lack of local fixtures we took the next step of entering the Essex FA Competitions, the “Jim Smith” and “Parish” Cups. We managed to secure a local friendly, then travelled away for some really tricky fixtures against primary schools in the Southend area. Unfortunately we did not progress much past the 1st round in either competition, but played with courage and determination.
However, as the season drew to a close we took part in the local Football competition held at Ormiston Rivers Academy. Our 2 teams demonstrated some excellent football performances with one of our teams eventual winners and defending our title as area Champions!
Next season we aim to progress further in the Essex Cup competitions and develop our Girls Football team.
