The children have settled back into school after the half term and have had an exciting time learning lots of new things. This week we have been learning all about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. The children watched a lovely Peppa Pig story which explained it sensitively and then we painted our own poppy fields. We have also been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali. The children heard the story of Rama and Sita, they made Rangoli patterns, drew Mehndi patterns on hands, tasted Indian food and dressed up in a Sari. They have had an interesting and informative week, which we are sure you have heard lots about.
