What an amazing return Sports Day made to our school. With all our children involved plus huge attendance by parents, grandparents and carers on a stunning day!
The day started with KS2 demonstrating skills and teamwork in a carousel of challenges. Then it was track events, also including throwing and everyone’s favourite Tug of War! The morning concluded with Sprinting and Long Distance.
After a spot of lunch KS1 came out and were fantastic especially as a large proportion of our children had never experienced a full Sports Day here at Burnham Primary! Running, jumping and throwing skills were all on display. Then some sprints and more Tug of War!
The finale included representatives from each year group running in the final relay, so exciting to watch! Congratulations to Sahara who won the overall day.
Staff and parents also got involved in some Tug of War too!
Our children, supported by the Burnham Primary community, were outstanding trying their best, working together and having lots of fun!! The atmosphere, energy and super sunny weather certainly made this a Sports Day to remember!
