The commitment and determination required to improve your fitness, especially for Cross Country running, is a great achievement in its self. However, this young lady in Year 6 has certainly demonstrated that hard work certainly does pay off having reached a County Final.
Along with her parents she travelled to Garons in Southend to run against the very best in Essex. At least 100 runners, if not a few more, stepped onto the start line. The course was flat, but very fast and our young lady carefully moved herself up through the mass of runners to secure 3rd!!
Having demonstrated excellent potential back in Year 2! This young lady is an excellent role model and inspirational figure to our whole school community. Lets hope to see her running in the future!
