To bring our roman topic to a close, we visited Layer Marney Tower for a Roman experience day. We looked at a range of different artefacts from clothing and coins, to armour and swords. We also explored and learnt more about roman daily life and why certain people did certain things (rich and poor life). We created our own jewellery like a rich roman. We took part in gladiator school, which involved lots of brutal activities to test if we were strong enough. To end the trip of, the children took part in an archery challenge to see who had the best aim for fighting!
