Sports Day, June 2019.

PE

Sports Day 2019 was another Sporting landmark within the school year. Our entire school participated in a range of events throughout the course of the day.

KS2 paraded out for the morning session in slightly cool and overcast conditions. They had a rotation of activities in their classes, before moving onto track and field events. A new event added this year was the High Jump. Children had attended an after school club in the months prior to sports day and refined their jumping skills.

After lunch it was KS1 set to perform their excellent sporting skills, competing in a carousel of activities in their classes, then competing in year groups. The sunshine certainly helped contribute to a great afternoon, plus the Yr 6 children who helped to run the various activities. The Tug-of-War proved once again to be a firm favourite with our children, along with the water relay!

The whole school relay rounded off the day, resulting in Sahara lifting the winning cup! Well done to all the children who competed and tried their absolute best. The teachers and parents then get involved with some highly energetic Tug-of-War before the day was finally over.
