The annual Swimming Gala for the Dengie area rolled around once again. Our pupils had been dedicated enough to commit to extra training after school in the half term prior to the gala. The children worked hard in our school pool refining their strokes and increasing their speed and stamina.
At the gala 6 of the local schools arrived and competed in a range of traditional races, comprising of the main strokes, both individual and team relay races. There were also a couple of novelty races involving floats and mini boogie boards! In a very warm and ear-piercingly noisy pool hall our children swam brilliantly, eventually scoring 2nd out of the 6 schools that entered. Hopefully next year we can work even harder to secure the top spot!
