A message from the Headteacher

Headteacher

On behalf of the children, staff and governors of Burnham on Crouch Primary School I would like to welcome you to our school and website. The website cannot replace direct contact with you but we hope it will act as a foundation for good relations between home and school.

All parents and carers want their children to be successful and happy. It is important to choose a school which nurtures the right skills, develops confidence and self-esteem and offers an exciting and enriching curriculum to ensure children are ready for the wider world beyond.

As an outstanding school, the children are at the heart of every decision we make, whether it be for their safety, enjoyment or academic excellence. We believe wholeheartedly in the holistic development of the whole child including teaching character such as kindness, honesty and tolerance, and learner attributes including resilience and emotional well-being. We aim to help children find their voice, talents and thrive.

Through our wider curriculum we aim to inspire a life-long love and interest in sport, languages and the arts. Our classrooms encourage excellence, creativity and inspire children to do their best and become the best of who they already are. We have designed our curriculum to challenge children academically, socially and culturally. Children benefit from dedicated and highly qualified staff, outstanding specialist teaching and pastoral care.

Our school promise promotes a sense of belonging in an inclusive community and encourages children to aspire to the highest possible standards of which they are capable. We strongly believe in nurturing talent and rewarding excellent behaviour, attendance and hard work. Welcome to the BCPS family. We look forward to working with you to make sure you and your child’s time with us is a happy and successful one.
