Our Head Boy and Girl and the Prefects
At Burnham-on-Crouch Primary School we provide many opportunities for our children to take on positions of responsibility teaching them valuable life skills and developing a real sense of community.
Our Head Boy and Girl are elected after making presentations to the whole school in a special assembly each July. The presentations are always thoughtful and considerate and show how proud our pupils are of their school.
We would like to thank all of our past Head Boys and Girls for their committment and hard work during their period of office and congratulate this year’s successful candidates, Tom Reed and Ashleigh Winkless.

Prefects
Our Prefects are selected by staff who nominate pupils who have shown themselves to be reliable, well behaved and trustworthy throughout their time at this school. Our Prefects always carry out their duties in a mature and sensible way, contributing immensely to the running of our school community and enjoying the responsibility of the role. Comments in our Visitors’ Book during Parents’ Evening illustrate just how much Parents and Carers value the work of our Prefects.
Our Prefects for 20011/12 will be announced when we return to school.
