Years 2, 3 and 4 were delighted to meet a real life author on Wednesday 25th April, when Josh Lacey came to visit us. Josh has written The Dragonsitter series, which many of the children had been reading in class. He read from his books, and told us how some of his ideas had been inspired by his own, very naughty, pet dog, Pushkin. Pushkin once ran away, went into a steak restaurant and helped himself to someone else’s dinner! The dragons in The Dragonsitter books haven’t done that…yet! After his talk, Josh signed books and chatted to the children. He said later that he was very impressed with both the behaviour of the children and the interesting questions they had asked him.
